Corazones Para Peru:

" a non-profit organization with the goal of sustainably improving living conditions for the indigenous population of the Peruvian Andes, especially children. Despite recent improvements in the Peruvian economy, most of Peru’s indigenous Andean population continues to live in poverty and to struggle with a lack of access to food, education, medical care, and clean water. In response to these various challenges, Corazones para Peru has diverse projects including the Munaychay Children’s Village, a network of schools, a micro-credit program, two health clinics, several social businesses, a center for people with disabilities, an early childhood care center, and an agricultural center."

We provide area police departments, social service agencies, domestic violence shelters and Department of Family Services workers with backpacks filled with necessities and comfort items. These filled backpacks are delivered to children on-the-scene and at the moment they are needed. The backpacks make a huge difference for children who are removed from their homes, usually with nothing but the clothes on their backs, in cases of domestic violence, abuse, neglect, homelessness, natural disaster, and other similar situations."
